I started fishing at about the age of 12. Most of this time was spent on my local canals - the Stainforth & Keadby and the New Junction. When I was 15 I joined a local club which ran club matches on venues like the Trent , Witham and the Welland .
All this put me in good stead because at 18 I was asked to join Bawtry - a top team in the 80s. A few years later it was time for a change and I moved to Stainforth & District national squad were I won my first national medal. We were runners up to Barnsley on my local canals.
A few years later I was asked to join the then mighty Daiwa Goldthorpe. During my time with the squad I fished super league finals, winter league finals plus local and national events winning many more medals along the way.
On the individual front I've had open match success on many different waters home and abroad.
Right then that's the past out of the way, when the local match seen was starting to pass away I turned my attentions to Carp fishing. After just one season Carping I met up with another ex match angler who was Barbelling and spent the next few months on the Trent, which then turned to pike and Zander trips on the Fens. Now I just about target anything that swims.
